TUESDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER 2011 STAVROPIGI CIRCULAR
There were 21 people and JJ the dog on today's walk which took us on a circular walk form Stavropigi. We started out from the kafenion and walked up through the village, before climbing up to Zarnata Castle.
Which overlooks Stavropigi and Kambos, with stunning views of the Taygetos mountains. From here we descended into the village of Malta and then ascended to the castle at the back of the village. Here we took a well earned break. After climbing back down we strolled through olive groves to the monastery of Andrhroubevitsa. A gentle walk then gave us wonderful views over Kambos before a climb back to Stavropigi and lunch at the kafenion.
