THALAMES & LANGADA

THALAMES & LANGADA TUESDAY 18TH JUNE 2013

Today saw 21 of us go off to the village of Thalames. We started our walk under the large plane tree in the centre of the village and took the kalderimi to Langada. We enjoyed the cooler morning air and vistited two small chapels on the way. We then had a walk round some of the back streets of Langada and compared two Mani tower houses one fully restored and another in a state of disrepair. We then left Langada by the path which goes down to Trachila. By this time the sun was scorching down, which then made the final climb back to Thalames and lunch so much harder. Thank goodness there was a cold beer with lunch.
