STOUPA TO NEOHORI

STOUPA TO NEOHORI TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 4TH 2012

Today was the first walk in our autumn series of walks or should we call them late summer walks. With the temperature climbing again to a hot 34 degrees, 13 of us and J.J. the dog left the cool Stoupa morning air behind and made our way through the village of Lefktron. On the climb up the track Cecile announced that a new path had been created that would take us to the small chapel that overlooks Stoupa. Nice one Cecile. We stopped and admired the view before moving on to the church of Aghios Triada where we had a refreshment break. Next we continued on and down into the Langhedi gorge, where we stopped in the cool shade of the trees in the bottom of the gorge before our final climb and onto lunch at Spiro's Kafenion, Neohori. After an excellent lunch we took the shorter way back to Stoupa.
