NEOHORI TO KASTANIA TUESDAY 4 TH OCTOBER 2011
Tuesday's walk took us from the village of Neohori up the kalderimi to Kastania. This is a well walked track although some of the walls have tumbled down. It was a cooler day than it as been lately which made it perfect for the 21 walkers and of course JJ the dog. On reaching Kastania we then took the Saidona road before turning off down a track which lead us to a beautifully restored small chapel. The walk continued down hill from the chapel and went through a rather over grown wooded section before our descent into the Lagadi gorge. We then climbed out of the gorge and returned to Spiro's kafenion in the platea for lunch.
